Poppy knows she can’t please her husband and she decides to do what her friend Jemma Bradshaw did when faced with a husband’s actions: she leaves. He finds it harder than he realized, for Poppy has many friends in society and he really doesn’t want to stray anyway, since he does love his wife. Tired of her behavior as a cold fish in bed, he quits visiting her all together and has determined to get some good sex he needs to find a mistress. Proper ladies, according to her mother, do not enjoy or even like those bedroom activities.įletch is frustrated with his wife and has been doing all he can to get her to notice him for the past year. She doesn’t realize that simple thing is why her marriage is failing because she feels she’s not that type of person. Though he loves her, and she loves him, Poppy does not desire her husband. Poppy is a dear wife and she has made a wonderful duchess, except for one thing. They married for love four years ago after having met in Paris during Christmas. The Duke of Fletcher is lucky in the fact that he loves his wife.
